Principal HSES Specialist

Join to apply for the Principal HSES Specialist role at Mc Dermott International, Ltd Job Overview: The Principal HSES Specialist is responsible for solving complex HSES-related problems independently, leading teams or projects, and serving as a subject matter expert in HSES within the Health Safety Environment Security function. Key Responsibilities: Incident Management: Review incident notifications and reports before distribution via Intelex. Support investigations as HSES SME. Track and facilitate closure of incident actions within set timeframes. HSES-MS Implementation: Monitor Unifi document updates and communicate with site HSES Leads. Develop and distribute STRIVE materials, TBT, posters/banners for vessels. Coordinate procurement of stationary and materials for sites. Support Marine QHSES Committee meetings and facilitate presentations. Track HSES recognition activities on vessels. Review communication cards for vessels. Verify risk management processes and conduct assurance checks. Ensure activity planners are conducted as scheduled. Assurance: Conduct vessel assurance and surveillance inspections, prepare reports. Perform site visits for HSES assurance activities. Maintain and execute internal audit plans. Conduct prequalification and audits of suppliers/subcontractors. Review site indicators and provide feedback for improvements. Resourcing: Coordinate mobilization/demobilization of HSE personnel. Lead marine staffing meetings and maintain onboard HSES teams. Review CVs, interview, and manage recruitment processes. Security: Fulfill Deputy CSO duties and coordinate with CSO and SSO onboard vessels. Qualifications: Degree in HSES-related field or equivalent experience. 7-8 years of HSE experience in the energy industry. NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of company, facility, and project-specific HSES terms and requirements. ISO standards lead auditor (9001, 14001, or 45001) trained and experienced.
