The instructor acts as the subject matter expert and is responsible for delivering high-quality, competency-based instruction that equips students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in sales and marketing. This role involves designing and implementing engaging lesson plans, facilitating interactive learning experiences, and assessing student progress to ensure achievement of learning outcomes. The instructor will also collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve the curriculum, stay updated with industry trends, and support students in their academic and professional development. Academic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Sales Marketing, or a related field Master’s degree or professional certifications are an advantage. Recognized Assessor qualification and/or Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) certifications (Level 4 Award or Certificate in Internal Quality Assurance) is highly desirable. Occupational Experience A minimum of 2–3 years of recent, hands-on experience in the sales and marketing sector or a closely related field is essential. At least 2 years of instructional or training experience, preferably within adult learning environments or vocational education settings, is highly desirable. Technical & Soft Skills Knowledge of high level of operational engagement skills including a thorough knowledge of cutting-edge technologies, industry best practices, operating models, current trends and issues. Exceptional transferable project and resource management skills, including experience with project management tools and methodologies. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a polished, professional presence with proven ability to build strong student relationships to facilitate effective learning. Exceptional presentation and bespoke solutions selling skills with proven success in lean team management, program deliverables and effective student engagement. As Trainer Create/adopt effective training materials, including presentations, manuals, and hands-on exercises. Deliver both practical and theoretical training to a diverse range of learners, following the principles of competency-based learning. Offer ongoing support and mentorship to learners to help them achieve their training goals. Address any issues or challenges that learners may face during the training process. Provides guidance for students to keep abreast with industry standards in the development of new products and solutions, alternative delivery strategies, and techniques. As Assessor Conduct assessments of learners’ work to ensure they meet the required standards. Evaluate theoretical and practical knowledge through various assessment methods, including exams, projects, and practical tasks. Maintain accurate records of assessments, feedback, and learner progress. Prepare reports on learner performance and assessment outcomes. Strong communication skills coupled with effective classroom management techniques, fostering a positive and productive learning environment. Familiarity with digital tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS), enhancing the delivery and management of instructional content. As Trainer and Assessor Assess the effectiveness of training programs and delivery through regular evaluations and feedback. Provide constructive feedback to learners to help them improve their skills and knowledge. Responsible for specific program related Operations & Delivery functions to promote and facilitate active innovation in teaching and learning initiatives—covering active teaching methods, formative, authentic assessment, instructional design, educational technology, blended learning, etc. Develop, strategize, negotiate to ensure effective project delivery by demonstrating bespoke solution values. Ensure all assessments are conducted in line with internal and external quality standards. Participate in internal and external verification processes to maintain assessment integrity. Stay updated on new tools, techniques, methodologies, and emerging trends in program/project delivery, especially in engineering technology solutions. Create tailored solutions, presentations, and data files to support learners at all levels. Note: Candidates without an Assessor/IQA qualification will need to qualify within a stipulated period. Industry Experience Hands-on experience in large sales & marketing organizations is mandatory.
