Senior Security Engineer (NGFWs, XDR, Proxy) Join to apply for the Senior Security Engineer (NGFWs, XDR, Proxy) role at Help AG, an e& enterprise company Job Description The Senior Security Engineer is responsible for administering and managing security technologies and services such as Next-Generation Firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), Trend Micro XDR, Proxy technologies, and vulnerability management tools (Nessus, Tenable Security Center). The role involves creating procedures, implementing processes, and maintaining security systems across client environments. The engineer will work closely with management, senior engineers, threat analysts, solution architects, other security engineers, and clients to deliver high-profile, critical services to managed security service clients. This position is based in Dubai, UAE, and involves the administration, maintenance, and integration of NDR, EDR, and Tenable security platforms, along with operational analysis, assessment, and recommendations in real-time security, network & identity management, and application security monitoring. Responsibilities Implement, support, and maintain Nessus scan engines, Tenable Security Center, and related vulnerability scanning infrastructure. Support the full lifecycle of Firewall (Palo Alto, Forti Gate), Web Proxy, and WAF systems : configuration, tuning, performance optimization, patching, and backups. Lead remediation of vulnerabilities in line with SLAs and compliance standards. Manage Trend Micro XDR sensors : deployment, updates, rule tuning, threat detection. Create custom detection rules for IOCs and behavioral anomalies in XDR and NDR platforms. Perform advanced threat hunting using custom queries in EDR / NDR environments. Act as the primary contact for MSS client issues and escalations. Collaborate with SOC, Threat Intelligence, and IR teams for rapid response and root cause analysis. Manage ticket workflows, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure SLAs are met. Monitor license usage, system availability, and performance, with regular reporting. Coordinate vendor troubleshooting, upgrades, and patches. Conduct incident analysis, investigations, and resolution for security technologies. Manage configuration backups, restorations, and system performance monitoring. Provide regular service reports and handle vendor coordination and problem resolution. Monitor license usage and perform software patches / upgrades. Qualifications & Skills 8+ years managing and administering security solutions in large enterprises. At least 5 years supporting MVA, NGFWs, EDR, NDR, Web Proxy (Nessus / Tenable, Trend Micro XDR, NDR, Proxy, Palo Alto & Forti Gate). Strong network and architecture knowledge. College degree or equivalent in Device Managed Services or related fields. Hands-on experience with XDR (Trend Micro), NDR, and Microsoft Azure. Experience with big data tools like Splunk or Azure Log Analytics. Knowledge of MS Azure security technologies, including deployment and management. Security certifications related to Azure, vulnerability management, EDR, NDR, or NGFWs are a plus. Familiarity with Linux and Windows OS. Experience with SIEM products like Splunk, Arc Sight, Nitro, or Log Rhythm, and infrastructure components such as proxies, firewalls, IDS / IPS, DLP.
