The Role As a Founding Backend Engineer, you’ll have the autonomy to design, develop, and build highly scalable, high-performance applications that will shape the future of compliance software. What You’ll Do Architect and build backend services that scale to handle high volumes of traffic. Solve real-world problems in financial crime detection and risk management. Write high-quality, testable, and readable code that powers our platform. Take ownership of projects and break down large, complex problems into implementable solutions. Work across modern stacks, embracing new technologies with excitement and curiosity. Review code and maintain standards of excellence across the team. Who We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who’s driven by a customer-first mindset, obsessed with product details, and committed to building impactful solutions. Requirements: You care deeply about customer needs and the finer product details. You have a problem-solving mindset and a thirst for learning new things. You have experience leading projects, working cross-functionally, and taking ownership to drive initiatives to successful completion. Proven experience writing web applications in languages like Type Script, Go, Java, Python, or similar. Strong foundation in relational databases (Postgre SQL, My SQL) and No SQL technologies (Dynamo DB, Redis). You understand scalable architectures and how to design systems for performance. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices. Excellent communication skills. Nice to Have: A degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering. Experience in building multi-tenant Saa S platforms. Familiarity with AI systems and Type Script. Experience building fintech or compliance products. Why Join Remo?
