Shipyard Piping Engineer

Identify, plan, and execute work preparation in Ship Repair as well as conversion projects within budgeted time and resources. Ensure instructions regarding work requirements are relayed to the workforce in line with work scope definition as outlined in Work Specification, Tender, Work Instructions, Procedures, and Manuals. Liaise and coordinate with foremen of different projects as required, with a view to sharing responsibilities and as advised by superiors. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 5 to 6 years of relevant experience, preferably in a shipyard environment. Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner. Adhere to information security rules and data security measures to protect company information and intellectual properties. Desired Candidate Profile Handle day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work. Coordinate between onboard and shop activities daily; ensure database updates for future records in spool tracker and local drives as per work instructions. Identify jobs, prepare drawings, and update department databases for records. Manage material requisitions and follow-up. Estimate man-hours as per agreed tariffs and submit for project supervision review. Update job descriptions for invoicing and record-keeping of sailed projects as per departmental procedures. Safety, Quality & Environment Comply with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental policies, procedures, and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment. Perform other related duties or assignments as directed. Additional Skills & Attributes Working knowledge of English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage. Proficient in Auto CAD and MS Office. Safety, quality, and environment conscious. Culturally aware and sensitive. Team-oriented, flexible, and demonstrating sound work ethics.
