Senior Officer, Credit Documentation - UAE National Wholesale Credit Middle Office CBD, Head Office Experienced Full-time ID: 101186 Description Job Purpose: Drafting facility documentation as per the approved credit application, performing fit-to-lend checks, preparing required documents for mortgage execution & collateral registration processes in line with service standards (SLAs). Responsible for safekeeping signed facility and collateral documentation. Promote a proactive work culture through management and mentoring. Follow up and resolve all exceptions/deferrals in facility documentation within stipulated timelines. Assist team management in proactively managing issues related to systems, housekeeping, internal audit, fraud, AML, compliance, Business Continuity Management (BCM), and internal controls. Principal Accountabilities: Ensure Quality Asset Management by: Strict adherence to the Bank’s Credit Middle Office policies and procedures, aligned with the Bank’s Credit policies and UAE Central Bank/Government guidelines. Compliance with UAE laws and regulations concerning collaterals and document legality, in coordination with the legal department. Drafting facility offer letters/loan agreements in accordance with approved credit applications and SOPs for all Wholesale Banking credit facilities, including conventional and Islamic accounts—covering NTB, renewal, and amendment requests. Validate existing documentation for current borrowing relationships. Coordinate with Credit for clarifications and guidance as needed. Work with Legal to include non-standard conditions in facility offer letters as stipulated in Credit approvals. Follow documentation procedures to finalize facility offer letters, collateral documentation, and other required documents, ensuring all legal aspects and SLA requirements are met. Notify Business of discrepancies upon receiving executed documentation and follow up for rectification before limit release. Ensure fit-to-lend checks are completed and collateral documents, including mortgages, are executed and compliant with Credit approval before confirmation. Track and communicate approved deferrals to the relevant units and ensure registration of collaterals as per statutory requirements. Follow up to clear deferrals and deficient documents timely to mitigate credit and legal risks, providing updates to management as needed. Ensure timely lodgement and safekeeping of executed documentation. Handle the release of original documentation and mortgage release requests following approvals. Assist as a checker in Credit Documentation activities when required. In General: Achieve operational efficiency by: Improving processing times and productivity through benchmarking. Performing documentation activities as per procedures to ensure good audit ratings. Carrying out activities with zero operational losses. Supporting centralization and automation of control activities for better efficiency. Reducing re-work rates. Adhering to SLAs and TATs with stakeholders.
