Vessel Superintendent
Description
Responsible for managing and ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and safety of the assigned DP vessels within the fleet. Acts as a liaison between onshore management and shipboard personnel. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Monitor and manage the technical operations of assigned vessels, ensuring compliance with company standards, international regulations, governing bodies, and industry best practices. Ensure the vessel’s class, flag and statutory certification is compliant and in date. Liaise closely with the vessels’ Masters and Chief Engineers to ensure the vessels machinery and equipment are operated efficiently and maintained to company standard. Manage dry-dockings, repairs and major maintenance planning, budgeting and execution. Liaise directly with vessel clients to offer technical solutions and support. Assist Operations Manager in the preparation of the vessels yearly R&M Opex budget. Guide and assist Supply Chain department and provide technical expertise as required. Support offshore crew as the first line of contact for matters pertaining to the vessel or client contract. Ensure the vessel is crewed to flag state, client, and Telford requirements. Liaise and assist the Crewing department for vessel crew related matters including scheduling and crew change. Responsible for approving vessel parts requests via Star FSM procurement system. Assist Finance Department by reviewing invoices, monitoring and advising of potential large expenditure. Work closely with the Star IPS Coordinator to ensure the planned maintenance systems is kept up to date and operating efficiently. Site visits, inspections and audits required occasionally. Promote QHSE standards by adhering to health and safety policies and procedures, minimizing environmental impact, ensuring quality compliance, and contributing to continual improvement initiatives. #J-18808-Ljbffr
