Acoustic Test Engineer

Element has an exciting opportunity for an Acoustic Test Engineer – Facade Testing (Acoustics – Building Systems). The role will be responsible for project specifications review, test method statement preparation and performing laboratory and onsite site acoustic tests for facade systems. This position will be based in DIP Dubai, UAE. Core Responsibilities: Performing Acoustic laboratory and site tests for facade systems in accordance with relevant international standards such as ASTM, AAMA, CWCT, BS EN etc., understanding the project requirements Preparing the test method statements and reports, reviewing the project specific ITPs and risk assessments Understand the project requirements and preparation of test rig for installation as per the drawings Implementation of quality related activities such as personnel training, equipment maintenance/calibration, face quality audits, and manage the laboratory accreditation programs such as UKAS, IAS etc Assign tasks to laboratory personnel and define procedures to be followed, review test results & data, and provide technical guidance/ recommendations People skills to maintain relations and interactions with clients, and vendors Skills / Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering with good working knowledge in aluminium curtain walls, unitized systems, window / doors systems, sliding system, louvers, balustrade/handrails.
