Description JOB SUMMARY Ensures cleanliness of assigned trolley & tray and room & floor clearance with guests and other employees, and ensures staff works together as a team to ensure optimum service. SCOPE/BUSINESS CONTEXT A Full-Time position based at Al Maha Desert Resort and Spa, The Luxury Collection. Number of Direct Reports: 03. Titles of Direct Reports: Team Leader / Restaurant Manager / Food & Beverage Manager. CANDIDATE PROFILE Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position within a five-star hotel. Skills and Knowledge: Minimum lifting 20 lbs. Effective verbal communication with guests and co-workers. Physical ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, upward reach. Exposure to cleaning chemicals. Exposure to extreme temperatures. Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking. Leadership skills. Training and motivating skills. Systems knowledge (MS Office & Symphony). Education or Certification High school diploma or GED; 4 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, or a related professional area. SPECIFIC DUTIES The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position: Open and close shift according to Departmental checklist. Train, maintain, and enforce all Marriott service standards using records, menus, and reference materials. Properly execute revenue and check control procedures on shift. Provide floor coverage during all meal periods. Complete scheduled inventories of supplies, food, and liquor; check stock and requisition necessary supplies. Inspect storage areas for organization, FIFO use, cleanliness, and rectify deficiencies. Follow property key policies, including checking out and returning keys to appropriate departments. Attend and conduct meetings as required. Ensure all side work is done daily. Manage effective repair and maintenance programs through work orders and inspections. Carry out reasonable requests by management within their capabilities. Plan daily events, organize functions, and delegate tasks to waiters. Prepare the table plan and expo sheet for the shift and guest preferences. Summarize end-of-shift transactions, including guest checks, credit cards, cash transactions, giveaways, FB comps, inclusive packages, and voids. Report staff issues to superiors. Assist with Team Leader duties during busy operations. Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment for all associates and guests.
