Job Title: Legal Counsel - Cloud Services/IT Qualifications: Bachelor of Business Administration (Management) Nationality: Any Vacancy: 1 Job Description: A J.D., LLB, or equivalent degree and admission to practice law. Minimum 3+ years of legal experience following bar admission. Experience in law firms, government, or in-house at a technology company. Transactional experience, including drafting and negotiating commercial contracts. Professional fluency in English, both written and spoken, and fluency in Arabic or Turkish. Excellent communication, drafting, and negotiation skills. Amazon's Legal Department seeks a talented cloud services/IT lawyer to support AWS in selling to customers across the EMEA region, focusing on the Middle East, Northern Africa, and Turkey. AWS provides cloud computing services including compute, storage, content delivery, and database solutions. Key Responsibilities: Drafting, negotiating, and advising on technology service agreements with enterprise, public sector customers, and partners. Providing legal support for regional services and initiatives. Offering legal counsel and interpreting regulations for product development, security, compliance, data protection, and public policy. Managing legal issues in existing relationships and handling inquiries from customers and partners. The ideal candidate is proactive, entrepreneurial, communicative, and demonstrates sound judgment in ambiguous situations. This position is based in Dubai, UAE, with some regional and international travel. Desired Skills and Experience: Knowledge of cloud computing, cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, and telecommunications laws. Familiarity with data protection laws. Experience with IT transactions and service agreements. Understanding of government procurement and contracting laws.
