JOB DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTS Follow material manufacturing and inspection activities through all phases, from preliminary engineering to procurement follow-up. Support bids and projects in defining the most effective and competitive solutions for materials manufacturing. Tasks Execute activities within the area of responsibility, ensuring compliance with QA/QC and HSE requirements. Issue all documents related to the definition and production of components (pipes, fittings, etc.) needed for construction. Support procurement and commercial teams with technical analysis during project bidding, review specifications for pipes and fittings manufacturing. Assist procurement in establishing bidder lists, evaluating vendors, and conducting audits. Review supplier documentation for compliance with client and international standards. Issue technical bid evaluations for line pipes and fittings supply. Review and comment on subcontractor documentation, inspection, and test plans. Coordinate with project engineers and other disciplines to identify project requirements and critical manufacturing considerations. Interface with welding, NDT, and anticorrosion teams to address manufacturing requirements and promote innovative solutions. Perform inspection site surveys and report findings. Coordinate material failure analysis and maintain contact with manufacturers to stay updated on new technologies. Perform materials selection and validate it, considering corrosion mechanisms and strategies such as corrosion-resistant materials, chemical treatments, coatings, and cathodic protection. Calculate corrosion rates using recognized models and software for sour and sweet services. Select chemical inhibition strategies and issue corrosion engineering documents. Transfer corrosion strategies to relevant disciplines and provide technical support during construction to address corrosion issues. Define laboratory work and coordinate tests related to corrosion on materials. Perform and coordinate failure analyses related to materials and corrosion upon project requests.
