Trading & Shipping Controller

About us Total Energies has developed a strong expertise in oil and biofuels, natural gas, and electricity trading. Trading entities are based in Geneva, Dubai, Houston, and Singapore. Total Energies installed its European trading hub in Geneva. Total Energies Trading & Shipping is responsible for all physical trading and shipping of crude oil and refined products on behalf of the company. It actively participates across the supply chain and derivatives markets to manage market risk. You will be part of a dynamic team of 5, working closely with operational teams across Geneva, Houston, Singapore, and Dubai, collaborating with Front and Middle Office teams, Operations, Credit & Trade Finance, and others. What you will do Produce financial information related to crude or shipping activities with appropriate control. Develop and upgrade financial tools for activity tracking and analysis. Assist in managing the end-of-quarter working capital requirements. Create statistics for the Trading or Shipping departments (Financial Communication, Long-Term Plan, Budget, etc.). Possess a master’s degree in finance with at least 3 years of controlling experience. Have programming skills (Excel, SQL, Python, Power BI) and the ability to read and debug code to collaborate with IT. Demonstrate strong analytical skills, rigor, and a reactive approach. Be adaptable, eager to learn, and proficient in English and French. Show problem-solving abilities and a dynamic, team-oriented attitude.
