Chief Accountant

We are hiring for multiple positions for our real estate client based in Sharjah, UAE. Role Description This is a full-time on-site bilingual Senior Accountant & Chief Accountant role located in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The Senior Accountant & Chief Accountant will be responsible for keeping financial records organized, including tracking of receivables, PDC's, cheque returns, advances, payables, vendor, cash & bank reconciliation ensuring each account is reconciled accurately. Requirements Chief Accountant 8+ years of experience Proficiency in accounting software Quickbook, Zoho, Oddoo etc. and MS Excel Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting & Finance CPA, CMA, ACCA or other equivalent certification is a plus Experience in a real estate management company Key Responsibilities Prepare various general ledger entries for month-end close Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliation and analysis Preparation of documentation for external and internal auditors to assist in year-end audit procedures Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth month-end close Assist in accounting analysis and ad hoc projects, as needed Ensure compliance with internal controls Support Financial Reporting Seniors in identifying process improvement opportunities Provide cross-functional assistance toexternal financial reporting Originate and process journal entries Keep track of all payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, and statements Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances #J-18808-Ljbffr
