The firms specializes in Landscape Architecture, Urban Infrastructure and Climate and Sustainability. About the role. Our client is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Signage and Wayfinding Designer to join the landscape architecture team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing comprehensive signage systems that seamlessly integrate with outdoor environments, enhance user experience, and reflect the identity of spaces. The candidate will collaborate with landscape architects, urban designers, graphic designers, and engineers to develop intuitive, visually engaging signage solutions for parks, campuses, public spaces, and urban developments. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop signage and wayfinding strategies for landscape and public realm projects and enhance visitor experience to outdoor places. Conduct site analysis and user experience research to inform signage placement and messaging. Create design packages including conceptual layouts, typography, iconography, and material specifications. Ensure signage systems are accessible, durable, legible, and aligned with branding and design intent. Work closely with project teams to integrate signage seamlessly into the landscape design. Prepare technical drawings, fabrication details, and coordination documents for production and installation. Collaborate with clients, fabricators, and other consultants to ensure compliance with local codes and regulations. Oversee mock-ups, prototyping, and site implementation when required. Stay informed on materials, lighting techniques, sustainability practices, and signage technologies. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in design, architecture, or related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience working as a signage and wayfinding designer in a professional setting. An excellent sense of Graphic Design and/or Wayfinding Design with a portfolio in typography, illustration, and layout Strong software technical skills, including: Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator essential). Ability to work with Sign Agent, Revit, Micro Station, and 3D modelling, and rendering. Knowledge of construction documentation and specification techniques. Must possess design talent, creative energy, management and organizational skills.
