Description POSITION SUMMARY Meet with the group coordinator/host(ess) prior to functions to make introductions and ensure all arrangements are agreeable. Read and analyze banquet event orders to gather guest information, determine proper setup timelines, and identify specific guest needs such as buffets, action stations, etc. Respond to and fulfill any special banquet event arrangements. Follow up to ensure compliance with these arrangements. Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to the manager; complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate and address their service needs, and thank them with genuine appreciation. Communicate clearly and professionally with others and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and support team efforts to reach common goals. Ensure adherence to quality standards and expectations. Read and verify information in various formats (e.g., small print). Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for defects. Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, or for an entire shift. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance. Navigate narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, and move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, including stairs and ramps. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of relevant experience. Supervisory Experience: None required.
