Description
The Controller oversees the day-to-day activities of the local finance team and ensures the finance function is organized and efficient, producing accurate financial and management accounts. You will be part of the Middle East Team, responsible for controlling and reporting activities of Bottega Veneta entities (Retail). Reporting to the Regional Finance Manager, you will work closely with various teams across the Middle East, the regional controlling team based in Milan, and the Shared Services Center in Dubai. Key Accountabilities Ensure all financial data is well documented and records are accurate and up-to-date. Implement reporting, accounting systems, and internal control procedures for effective financial management. Finalize the monthly reporting pack with high accuracy, present to the Regional Finance Manager, and submit to HQ after resolving checks. Ensure timely submission of planning scenarios (Budget, Forecast, etc.) by liaising with departments for data collection. Own the monthly income statement preparation (P&L and Balance Sheet), providing comments on variances vs last year and forecast. Conduct variance analyses, identify issues, and recommend corrective actions. Review key balance sheet accounts periodically to prevent misstatements. Work with Shared Services to ensure records comply with statutory and tax requirements. Report capital expenditure accurately and consistently. Monitor cash flows and anticipate liquidity needs. Provide financial analyses for capital investments and contracts. Develop and document internal control processes. Identify business risks and suggest mitigations. Coordinate with internal/external auditors and banks. Analyze monthly P&L and balance sheet, providing insights to management. Manage costs and improve efficiency across the company. Qualifications & Competencies Degree in Accounting, familiar with IFRS. Experience in Retail Industry; KSA and Qatar markets exposure is a plus. Arabic language skills are advantageous. Knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) & SAP. Dynamic, analytical, with problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Capable of working in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
