Plant General Manager TTEOM_Taweelah (UAE)_Secondee position

Domain: Industrial Projects, Maintenance / Inspection / Technology, Operations, Strategy Economics Business Type of contract: Fixed-term position Experience Minimum: 15 years TTEOM is the operating company of the power and desalination plant named Taweelah1, located in the Kingdom of Abu Dhabi. Shareholders include Engie (50%) and Total Energies (50%). TTEOM generates approximately USD 230M in revenue, with CAPEX of about USD 10M and expected dividends of around USD 85M. Activities Functional: Recommend operating procedures and standards to the Owner to fulfill contract requirements. Propose new maintenance plans, procedures, and schedules for approval by the Owner to meet plant needs. Regularly report to the Owner as per contract requirements. Submit the Annual Operating Plan and Budget for approval. Operate within approved budget limits. Approve expenses incurred by subordinates, following established policies. Administrative: Recommend organizational modifications to Total Energies-Tractebel Management and the Owner for improved productivity and efficiency. Oversee personnel selection, ensuring proper qualifications. Sanction leave periods for subordinates. Candidate Profile Education, knowledge & experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or relevant field. Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred. Minimum 15 years’ experience managing power plants at a managerial level. Experience in power generation, gas turbines, combined cycle, or gas engines; desalination experience is a plus. Communication: Excellent written and verbal English skills; Arabic is highly valued. Strong organizational skills and social perceptiveness. Ability to synthesize information and draw conclusions. Proven management skills, including subordinate development, team building, and conflict resolution. Hands-on knowledge of water treatment equipment maintenance. Coaching and training abilities; acts as a role model. Technical skills: Computer literacy: Proficiency in business applications, databases, word processing, spreadsheets, and Maintenance Management Systems. Additional information: Implement effective operating methods and identify technological advancements. Develop plans for optimal plant availability and efficiency. Ensure effective maintenance practices. Analyze operating costs and implement necessary measures. Maintain monitoring and reporting systems. Ensure adequate trained personnel, including training UAE nationals. Coordinate relations with Owner, ADWEC, ADNOC, Transco, and other stakeholders. Provide regular reports and incident documentation. Approve purchase requisitions and spare parts recommendations. Lead weekly meetings with department heads.
