About the job Based at Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai within the Accounting Department, the Accounts Receivable Executive is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all charges and credits to various debtor accounts, ensuring they are posted to the system. The role also involves preparing and sending Statements of Accounts to clients on a timely basis, monitoring the subsequent collection of all accounts, and updating all individual debtor records. The Accounts Receivable Executive reports to the Credit Manager. Key responsibilities include: Processing all debtor accounts accurately and ensuring all trade debtor invoices are correct and supported by valid payment guarantees. Promptly issuing invoices to debtors and responding to debtor inquiries effectively. Processing checks and payments received daily, verifying and reconciling credit card transactions daily. Following up regularly with debtors trading beyond their terms, notifying the Credit Manager of persistent issues, and assisting in preparing month-end reports. Processing travel agent commission payments weekly, calculating and posting credit card commissions daily, and ensuring proper approval for credit card refunds. Assisting in General Cashier, Income Audit, and Accounts Payable functions as needed, and performing any additional duties assigned by the Credit Manager and Management. Candidate requirements: Senior School qualification or equivalent, with a Degree or Diploma in Finance. Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in accounting, including at least 1 year in a similar role. Experience with POS and PMS Systems (Opera, PSMS, Info Genesis, Micros) and the SUN Accounting System. Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word. Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices, with excellent organizational and analytical skills. Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
