Junior Lighting BIM Designer

This Job opening is for UAE Residents only. Only applicants currently resident in UAE will be considered for this application. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role located in Dubai for an Junior Lighting BIM Designer. As a Junior Lighting Designer, you will be responsible for developing exceptional lighting design solutions, working collaboratively with the project team to deliver the projects. You will also work in all phases of the design process, from conceptual design through to preparation of construction documents, and be responsible for producing high-quality lighting design drawings and renderings. You will understand the design process and the role of the lighting designer and have a basic knowledge of the wider construction process. You will be aware of commercial business requirements in respect of project time allocation, deliverables and business development and will develop and nurture relationships with clients and members of project design teams, attending meetings and initiating communication with external colleagues. Qualifications · Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering or a related field · Minimum of 2 years of experience in Independent Lighting Design Consultancy · Mandatory good knowledge of REVIT software (minimum 2 years experience) · Knowledge of lighting design principles, technology, and lighting software application programs (e.g. AGi32, Dialux, Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) · Ability to identify and develop conceptual lighting design solutions and create lighting calculations, drawings, renderings, and report documentation for projects of varying size and complexity · Good understanding of lighting design principles · Good design skills including sketching, drawing, and concept visualisation · Good understanding of current design trends and innovation in the lighting industry · Fluency in English written and spoken is required · Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple priorities, and deliver projects on time with the highest-quality of design and detailing.
