Bachelor of Technology/Engineering(Civil) Nationality Any Arab National, Indian, Filipino Any Vacancy 1 Vacancy Job Description Position Objective: The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for the timely valuation of all Civil Construction work and to effectively manage all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. This includes ensuring that projects are completed within budget, accurately measuring and valuing construction work, minimizing costs while maintaining quality standards, and providing detailed financial reports to support decision-making. The Quantity Surveyor will collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure value for money and adherence to project timelines and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities: The Quantity Surveyor is the focal point for the regular valuation of all Civil work completed by the Civil Construction contractor on the Project. Be able to provide an objective and substantiated valuation of civil works at short notice at any point in their life cycle. The Quantity Surveyor must always be able to provide an Estimated Final Value of a Project based on information he has to hand. This must be auditable. The Quantity Surveyor must visit construction site as often as possible to ensure all scope deviations/changes are identified and accounted for. Produce reports as required by the Project Leadership Team in the required format and submitted by any prescribed deadline. They must be accurate and auditable. The Quantity Surveyor must fully understand the Civil Construction Contract on the project and implement accordingly whilst undertaking Quantity Surveying activities. The Quantity Surveyor is responsible to ensure any Site produced estimates are formulated to the standard required by the site team. The Quantity Surveyor is responsible to ensure that all Quantity Surveying activities are fully auditable - this includes the retention of all documents he produces. The Quantity Surveyor must ensure all works are closed out quickly in accordance with applicable Company procedures. Records and assists in quantifying the impact of project scope changes Attend weekly progress meetings Any other duties as assigned Key Skills and Competencies: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from a reputable university or colleges. An active listener with the ability to focus on customer requirements. Maintain suitable records of correspondence and work completed for reference and auditing purposes. Civil Construction Quantity Surveying background. Ability to make technically and economically sound recommendations with incomplete information and within the time deadline required.
