Senior Coating Engineer

Anotech Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Chemical and other related field/s 10 years' experience in offshore painting & coating Knowledge of the painting, coating and field joint coating materials used in the oil and gas industry, including advantages and disadvantages, properties, costs and other relevant features -will be considered a plus; Capability to analyse dedicated Project requirements in terms of local standards and codes and to identify proper implementation actions. High proactivity and open-mindedness, strong problem-solving skills and methodical approach; Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills. Multidisciplinary approach and curiosity in learning new techniques and skills. Job Responsibilities : Engineering activities related to painting, anticorrosive coatings and thermal insulation for pipes, structures and components, in constructions projects of offshore structures, oil and gas pipelines in all its phases: Perform the feasibility studies for suitability of the coating, painting and field joint coating systems; Review the received documents and elaboration of the input data related to the coating, painting and field joint coating works; Select suitable coating, painting and field joint coating materials and systems; Prepare technical qualifications related to the coating, painting and field joint coating; Prepare the technical specifications and technical requisitions related to the coating, painting and field joint coating materials and services; Technical evaluate the offers received from Vendors related to the supply of the coating, painting and field joint coating materials and services; Witness the Pre-Qualification Test performed by Subcontractors related to the coating, painting and field joint coating.
