The successful candidate will work on advanced security solutions leveraging AI methodologies, collaborating with faculty members, graduate students, and industry partners. Job Purpose RIT Dubai is seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to contribute to cutting-edge research at the intersection of cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence. The successful candidate will work on advanced security solutions leveraging AI methodologies, collaborating with faculty members, graduate students, and industry partners. Job Responsibilities Conduct research on cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and AI-driven security solutions. Develop, implement, and evaluate AI models for cybersecurity applications. Assist in writing and publishing research papers in high-impact academic journals and conferences. Perform data collection, preprocessing, and analysis to support research objectives. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including faculty, graduate students, and external stakeholders. Assist in grant writing and research proposal development. Present research findings at academic and industry conferences. Maintain proper documentation and report research progress regularly. Ensure compliance with all relevant (internal and external) regulations including QHSE requirements using RIT policies and procedures as appropriate Required Qualifications: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field. Demonstrated experience in academic research with published papers in reputable journals or conferences. Strong programming skills in Python, R, Java, or C++. Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as Tensor Flow, Py Torch, or Scikit-learn. Familiarity with cybersecurity principles, threat detection, and cryptographic techniques. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a research team. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with deep learning techniques for cybersecurity applications. Knowledge of ethical hacking, penetration testing, or security analysis tools. Previous experience in securing AI models against adversarial attacks.
