To manage, lead, and support an area team, and to deliver against the key business indicators as laid out in the Annual Operating Plan and measured against Balance Scorecard targets in the 4 main areas: Teams, Sales, Profit, Customer, and Restaurant Excellence. Key Responsibility Areas: Works with RMs to develop restaurant-specific Annual Operating Plans and communicate to the team. Sets with the RMs the monthly restaurant business plan and reviews it monthly. Sales and Financial Excellence Ensures complete and timely execution of corporate & local marketing programs. Monitors competitors’ activities and coordinates with operation and marketing managers to stay ahead of the competition. Keeps RGMs informed of any competitive activity. Supports the implementation of the marketing plan. Supports new product launches. Audits cash handling procedures to ensure proper handling of deposits, receipts, change funds, deletes, and paid outs. Analyzes operations/P&L to identify deviations from standards and coaches RGMs to take corrective actions. Monitors operational effectiveness through the Pace Setter. Analyzes sales, labor, inventory, and controllable costs continually, coaching RGMs to meet margin and sales targets. Coaches and assists RGMs in controlling product, labor, and other controllable expenses. Approves operating expenditures within guidelines. Ensures audits and controls are in place. Restaurant Excellence Sets customer service standards and fosters a customer-focused culture. Works with RMs to develop R&R plans and lead activities. Monitors restaurant operations through KPIs, providing feedback and support. Ensures restaurants achieve GES/ROCC objectives. Ensures understanding of safety and security procedures. Keeps managers informed of operational changes and new products. Ensures business skills like One Klick, Aloha, and Crunch Time are in place. Follows up on maintenance schedules. Resolves complaints promptly and informs the operation manager of serious issues. Embeds Customer Mania mindset and improves order accuracy, speed, courtesy, and cleanliness. Leads problem-solving for customer satisfaction and drives process improvements. Shares best practices. Teamwork Coordinates with RGMs on EES outcomes, analyzes, and develops corrective actions. Provides input on training needs and effectiveness. Supports training and development plans. Evaluates management performance and implements improvement plans. Ensures safety procedures are understood and followed. Investigates labor issues and consults with HRD as needed. Education & Experience: Minimum of 5-6 years of experience, preferably in multi-outlet food/quick service industry, with emphasis on operations in retail or consumer service sectors.
