The Merchandising Supervisor oversees a team of merchandisers to ensure the effective execution of merchandising standards, planogram adherence, product availability, brand visibility, and promotional activities at the retail level. This role involves strategic planning, coordination, team leadership, and performance reporting to drive product sell-through and strengthen brand presence. How Will You Make an Impact? 1. Merchandising Operations Supervise daily activities of merchandisers across assigned outlets. Ensure accurate implementation of planograms, product displays, and promotional setups. Monitor shelf availability, enforce stock rotation (FIFO), and prevent out-of-stock situations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of all product displays and fixtures. 2. Team Management Allocate schedules and journey plans for merchandisers to maximize efficiency. Train, guide, and motivate the team to meet performance KPIs. Provide on-the-job training and mentoring for new team members. Oversee team attendance, grooming, discipline, and overall conduct. 3. Reporting & Documentation Track visibility and display activations for both primary and secondary placements. Capture and archive before-and-after photos of merchandising displays. Provide regular feedback on competitor activities, pricing, promotions, and POSM placement. Conduct monthly meetings to share category performance, sales updates, and display strategies. 4. POSM (Point of Sale Material) Management Ensure correct placement, usage, and upkeep of POSMs (e.g., base wraps, tent cards, wobblers, shelf talkers). Track POSM consumption, report missing/damaged items, and coordinate replenishments. Monitor and maintain internal/external display assets every month. 5. Customer Relationship Management Foster strong relationships with store personnel, supervisors, and managers. Address and resolve issues at outlet level related to display space, visibility, or promotion execution. Handle merchandiser concerns and escalate in line with company policies. 6. Compliance & Audits Ensure all merchandising activities comply with brand guidelines and trade marketing standards. Support internal and external audits by maintaining merchandising standards and stock accuracy. What Would Make You Successful? Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree/diploma in any. 2–3 years of experience in FMCG merchandising, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role.OR 3–4 years of experience as a Key Account Executive with direct responsibility for managing merchandisers. Job-Specific Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and planning abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Power Point. Must hold a valid UAE driving license. Targets to hit: Compliance with planogram standards. Rate of out-of-stock (OOS) incidents. Share of shelf relative to competitors. Timely and complete execution of promotional activities. Accuracy in Point-of-Sale Material ( POSM deployment. Merchandiser productivity and attendance rates.
