Job Role Inverter Specialist Reporting To Head of Co E (Renewable BU) - HE-BU Objective As an inverter specialist, work on the latest inverter technologies (String & Central) and monitor inverter performance at site. Provide technical support to EDRC and site teams during engineering, operation, and maintenance phases. Key Responsibilities Possess deep knowledge of power electronics systems, including inverters, DC-DC converters, AC-DC converters, and PCS, especially for large-scale renewable energy and energy storage applications. Stay updated with the latest inverter and power conversion system technologies to ensure system efficiency, thermal management, voltage regulation, and load compatibility. Understand various power electronic topologies (full-bridge, half-bridge, multi-level, bidirectional converters) based on project needs. Facilitate communication between the Contracts/Project (Tender) team and the EDRC (Design) team, considering design and cost factors. Ensure grid code compliance for inverters and converters regarding voltage, frequency, reactive power, harmonics, and fault ride-through. Support the design and implementation of control algorithms for inverters to meet grid code requirements, including voltage and frequency regulation, active/reactive power control, and dynamic response. Provide technical guidance during system design, commissioning, and ongoing optimization of projects. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving system issues during operation and maintenance phases. Lead and suggest value engineering initiatives. Perform fault analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for power electronics systems. Mentor team members in vendor offer evaluation and data analysis. Support post-project activities, including system upgrades, retrofitting, troubleshooting, and technical consultations. Design and integrate SKID systems housing power electronics and related components, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. Analyze thermal characteristics and implement cooling strategies within SKID enclosures. Collaborate with vendors and internal teams for SKID system integration, ensuring compliance with standards and project specifications. Prepare detailed technical documentation for SKID systems, including design reports, testing procedures, and compliance reports. Stay informed on developments in grid codes, power electronics, and renewable energy technologies, contributing to continuous improvement. Utilize simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink, PSSE, PSCAD, PLEXOS) to evaluate grid compliance scenarios. Monitor lessons learned from projects and communicate mitigation strategies to the team. Manage multiple tasks efficiently, demonstrating problem-solving and decision-making skills. Support plant performance modeling for hybrid projects. Proficiently use MS Office, PVsyst, ETAP, Auto CAD. Proficiency in English is mandatory. #J-18808-Ljbffr
