Demand Planner (Medlab)

The Demand Planner is responsible for forecasting demand and optimizing inventory levels for a diverse portfolio of medical and laboratory products. This role supports the division's commitment to delivering cutting-edge medical equipment and consumables across the UAE.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Demand Forecasting & Planning Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for Medlab’s product lines, including laboratory instruments, reagents, and specialized consumables.Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and external factors to predict future product demand .Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product management teams to incorporate market intelligence and promotional activities into demand forecasts.Monitor forecast accuracy and implement improvements to reduce forecast errors.Inventory Management Ensure optimal inventory levels to meet customer service targets while minimizing excess and obsolete stock.Analyze inventory trends and coordinate with procurement to align supply with demand.Manage safety stock levels and reorder points for critical SKUs.Data Analysis & Reporting Utilize ERP and demand planning systems to analyze sales trends, consumption patterns, and inventory turnover.Generate regular reports on forecast accuracy, inventory health, and service levels for internal stakeholders.Provide insights to support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with the supply chain, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of products.Participate in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings to align demand plans with supply capabilities.Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to communicate demand forecasts and manage lead times.Process Improvement Identify opportunities to enhance demand planning processes and tools.Implement best practices in demand planning and inventory management to support Medlab’s operational excellence.EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATION & SKILLS: 2-3+ years of experience in demand planning or supply chain roles within the medical or healthcare industry.Proficiency in systems like SAP APO, Oracle Demantra, and advanced Excel functionalities (e.g., pivot tables).Maintain high accuracy in data analysis and reporting, minimizing errors in demand planning processes.Effectively liaise with various departments, including sales, marketing, and finance, to gather insights and align forecasts.Respond swiftly to market changes and unforeseen challenges, adjusting forecasts and strategies as needed.Seniority level Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Employment type Full-time Job function Job function Supply Chain Industries Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Retail Pharmacies, and Holding Companies Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Al Khayyat Investments (AKI) by 2x Sign in to set job alerts for “Demand Planner” roles.Emiratization_Supply & Inventory Planner
