Clinical Quality and Education Coordinator International SOS Government Medical Services The Clinical Quality and Education Coordinator plays an essential role in the coordination, implementation, and evaluation of clinical quality and governance, patient safety, clinical education and process improvement throughout the project. The Coordinator assists with the management of quality measures for the project and compliance with regulatory, internal International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. policies and other programs deemed essential for quality care, patient safety, clinical education by project leadership and International SOS Government Medical Service, Inc. guidance. This clinical role works cohesively with project management to align care delivery, and to support, trend and analyze service delivery and contractual metrics to drive operational excellence. The role actively engages with the clinical leadership and staff to identify areas for improvement in patient care processes and workflows and to align with the development and implementation of strategies focused on quality improvement goals. Key Responsibilities: In conjunction with the Project Manager, Chief Medical Officer, and Project Lead, the Coordinator facilitates activities related to quality and performance improvement programs in accordance with the requirements of Clinical Quality Management Plan and designated clinical governance structure, relevant regulatory bodies, and project contractual obligations. Is an active member of the site leadership team who serves in a support role by ensuring clinical quality is infused throughout the project s demonstration of the eight principles of the organization s Quality Charter. Actively participates in committees and meetings outlined by the clinical governance structure, and additionally as assigned by the Project Manager or Chief Medical Officer. Assists Managers and Site Leadership in developing, implementing, and evaluating quality improvements in support of the quality control plan and clinical quality management plan. Assists the Chief Medical Officer and clinical leadership in the development and implementation of clinical procedures and processes ensuring alignment with standard of practice and organizational requirements, with consideration of location, capabilities, and population being served. Serves as the Clinical Educator for the overall site orientation program and works with department leadership for ongoing in-service education programs for all levels of non-clinical and clinical personnel. Supports project leadership and the corporate trainers with development, training and implementation of clinical and annual competencies. Ensures all employees have sufficient training and exposure to compliance and safety policies and procedures and educates staff on quality improvement processes and requirements and regulatory, contractual and site-specific required training. Collaborates with Clinical Operation Training & Development to ensure specific training is within company standards, Joint Commission standards, and Industry standards. Collaborates with the Quality Manager contributing clinical insight and continuous quality improvement for all relevant tools including Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, After Action Review Plan, and Plan Do Check Act. Works with the Quality Manager, clinical and non-clinical staff, information technology, and management to develop and implement quality reports, dashboards and quality improvement protocols. Gathers data related to quality measures, incidents, and other relevant metrics and performs basic data analysis (preparation graphs and tables and maintenance of quality dashboards) to For Intl SOS GMS Internal Use Only communicate quality measure results/ data on an on-going basis identifying trends, patterns, and potential gaps in care. Supports clinical quality standards as dictated by the organization, Chief Medical Officer and Quality Team by monitoring operations, documenting procedures, performing/ supporting audits, communicating and analyzing data, tracking corrective action plans and outcomes. Regularly submit reports of the clinical quality control metrics, analysis and recommendations to the leadership team, on a schedule determined by the project leadership (monthly at a minimum, usually more frequently for critical or high-risk items). Serves as the site s primary Connec Team administrator ensuring cohesiveness with Share Point Quality Management System (QMS) and Connec Team Knowledge Base and supporting governance data requirements. Responsible for serving as a site Electronic Medical Record (EMR) super-user and for providing consistent approved orientation for the staff encouraging the adoption and optimization of the EMR and other approved systems to improve clinicalworkflows, data accuracy, and decision-making processes. Ensures clinical informatics tools are aligned with quality improvement initiatives and regulatory standards by submitting recommendations for change to the International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. Quality Committee. Maintains a safe workplace and complies with quality, health, and safety requirements and goals. Actively participates in mass casualty exercises and events. Performance of other duties as assigned by the Project Manager, Chief Medical Officer, or International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. Project Lead. Desired Candidate Profile Qualifications Required Skills and Knowledge: A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a hospital or ambulatory setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook). Have high fluency in both oral and written English. Experience Preferred: Experience in quality improvement or management in a hospital or ambulatory setting preferred. Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards, patient safety protocols, and quality improvement processes (e.g., The Joint Commission, ISO 9001, National Committee for Quality Assurance) Experience on a military/government site, working as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred. Education Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program, BSN or higher preferred or equivalent clinical healthcare role as approved by the GMS Clinical Governance committee (current and unrestricted license). Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to be obtained within six months. Ability to obtain American Heart Association BLS, ACLS instructor certification within one year. Physical Demands: Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time. May require bending, stooping and lifting up to 30 lbs. Other Special Qualifications: US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required. This position is unaccompanied. Ability to obtain a base security clearance. Must be able to travel to projects as required.
