Job Description

• Offer guests an enjoyable, expertly served beverage/dining experience.
• Anticipate and service guests' requirements before requests become necessary.
• Be familiar with beverage service, including stemware and appropriate garnishes.
• Utilize a "Captain's Pad" correctly for effective communication.
• Complete opening and closing side work as assigned, ensuring all tables are set according to standards.
• Present menus and provide explanations for all menu items, including daily specials.
• Be knowledgeable of and utilize the hotel's computer system for ringing up sales, printing checks, and completing closing readings.
• Change ashtrays, serve cigarettes, crumb tables, and offer additional beverages and cigars.
• Report any accidents or guest complaints immediately, regardless of severity, to a manager.
• Recognize and address potentially disruptive or undesirable guests.
• Respond appropriately in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
• Break down buffets, displays, or side stations as needed.
• Keep the service area clean and tidy.
• Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management.
• Retrieve and stock all linen, china, silver, glassware, and food and beverage items.
• Provide unobtrusive and professional service in accordance with our service sequence.
• Carry and break down trays properly and safely.
• Provide quick and attentive assistance to any mishap in the restaurant.
• Sweep/vacuum the floor before a shift if needed.
• Attend all training sessions and follow all hotel rules and policies.
• Handle cash and credit card procedures according to accounting department guidelines.
• Identify potential problems and seek assistance before a breakdown occurs.
