Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate the implementation of common functionalities of Site-Wide SCADA systems features.
  2. Assist in developing operational strategies and improvements for MEP and automation systems, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  3. Assist in leading cross-functional teams in implementing process improvements and sustainability initiatives.
  4. Collaborate with the facilities head and other engineers to ensure effective operation and maintenance of systems.
  5. Analyze processes and system performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  6. Plan, schedule, and carry out facilities inspections & highlight deviations from standard practices.
  7. Review the impact of projects and modifications on processes and systems under the F&I department.
  8. Conduct pre-implementation checks on drawings, proposed plant changes, and new projects.
  9. Participate in project commissioning to achieve smooth implementation and scheduled start-up.
  10. Review energy & water production/consumption and identify areas for improvement.
  11. Review the equipment operational parameters to ensure they are maintained within operational range.
  12. Support the Engineer in reviewing/creating and implementing the appropriate operating envelope for diverse equipment in the district cooling plant and various facilities.
  13. Support the development of process improvements for equipment in the District Cooling plant and utilities services across various facilities.
  14. Assess the risks associated with various activities conducted through the Permit to Work (PTW) system.
  15. Inspect Permit To Work system implementations and make site visits to ensure compliance with safety procedures & regulations.
  16. Conduct root cause analysis pertaining to failure of processes at Facilities and DCI.
  17. Carry out periodical processes technical audits to ensure facilities and infrastructure activities comply with departmental procedures and best practices.
  18. Other reasonable tasks as assigned by Engineer.
Qualifications:
  1. High School diploma with 2-5 years experience in facility operations, district cooling, and process engineering.
  2. Certifications in energy management or sustainability preferred.
  3. Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
  4. Proficiency in MS Office applications.
