POSITION OBJECTIVE: The Manager Network and Telecommunications will be responsible to supervise the design, implementation and monitoring of HCTs network and telecommunications infrastructure services to meet business requirements and, functional and technical specifications. MAIN RESPONSBILITIES: Strategic

Lead the implementation of Education Technologies' strategic objectives and initiatives.
Support with the development and implementation of Information Technology policies, procedures and processes and monitor compliance of subordinates.

Operational

Plan, design and analyze network upgrades and expansions to fulfil business needs.
Supervise the installation of networks and telecommunications equipment to fulfil business requirements including, but not limited to, LAN, WAN, Wireless, Security and IP Telephony infrastructure.
Monitor the configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of network routing, switching, and network security devices.
Manage network and security infrastructure in the Data Centers and the campuses to provide high level of services across HCT.
Liaise with service providers for the design and implementation of WAN and Internet connectivity on campuses and Central Services.
Maintain an up-to-date inventory record of all networking, security and communication equipment and ensure the warranty and support all devices.
Build 5-year operational plans for Network and Telecommunications and build RFP based on the approved architecture plans; implement plans accordingly.
Monitor the utilization and performance of HCT networks for efficient and uninterrupted network service to users.
Monitor the effective and efficient upgrade network hardware and software components as required.
Support with the performance monitoring of networks infrastructure components and provide regular performance and status reports.
Oversee the documentation of all network infrastructure components.
Manage access of users to HCT's networks in compliance with policies, procedures and processes.
Oversee the effective and timely diagnosis and resolution of network incidents.
Support with the planning of IT projects related to networks and telecommunications.

People Management

Provide professional development support and perform periodic performance reviews for direct subordinates based on HCT's Performance Management System.
Coach and mentor subordinates on a regular basis.
Contribute in an effective and efficient manner to the recruitment and development of UAE Nationals.
Lead the implementation of Education Technologies' strategic objectives and initiatives.
Support with the development and implementation of Information Technology policies, procedures and processes and monitor compliance of subordinates.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required e.g. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information System.
Full English proficiency is required.
Advanced computer literacy is required e.g. MS Office, Banner, Java, C++.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience in Information Technology with proven ability to manage a set of processes and/or to manage teams.
