We are constantly growing and are currently looking for a full of potential and reliable Project Director to join a top qualified and knowledgeable team of Engineers in our Oil & Gas project in Abu Dhabi, in UAE.

Job Description

Role Summary: Reporting directly to the Energy Division Director, responsible to ensure performance excellence and successful delivery of an energy, Oil & Gas project across UAE. What you will need to do:

Lead and oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex oil and gas projects in UAE.
Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
Provide strategic direction and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Manage stakeholder relationships and communicate project progress, risks, and issues effectively to ensure stakeholder alignment and support.
Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing any obstacles that may impact project success.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, health and safety standards, and quality requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes and outcomes.
Mentor and coach project team members, providing leadership and support to maximize their potential and contribution to the project's success.

Qualifications

What you will need to have:

BA in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field as a minimum
Minimum of 15 years within multidiscipline Oil & Gas construction projects
Proven experience (minimum 10 years) in project management within the oil and gas industry, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects. (> 500MN USD value could be a good indicator)
At least two (2) successfully delivered EPC (aka DB) projects as a Project Manager
Demonstrable ability to manage EPC contracts for onshore/offshore brownfield Oil & Gas projects for major Oil & Gas companies.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams towards achieving project goals.
Excellent understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
Solid knowledge of oil and gas industry practices, regulations, and standards.
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving results and overcoming challenges.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence key stakeholders.
Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
Experience working in the UAE or the Middle East region is a plus.

Possesses strong business acumen; you can understand how the “technical” intercepts with business and vice versa
Has deep knowledge of Project Management cycle and principles
Has superb communication skills and the ability to foster strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and you thrive in negotiation and in making an impact
Is a true leader; you are able to build and manage effective teams, see opportunities in every difficulty and aspire others
Is passionate about complex EPC projects and enjoys working in an international, culture diverse environment
