Overview

MicroTech is seeking a Database Administrator Level I for the Combined Air Operations Center (CAOC) at Al Udeid AB, Qatar. The CAOC team provides installation, operation, maintenance, administration and management of AOC Weapons System network infrastructure, datalinks and systems to ensure services are operational and available with minimal interruption. This includes the switches, routers, encryption devices, cabling and other equipment providing connectivity supported by 609 ACOMS and 609 EACOMS.

Responsibilities

Provide Tier 2 technical support for more complex end-user client/server database issues, which cannot be resolved by the Tier 1 technical support staff.
Perform all technical support and O&M activities identified in PWS paragraph 3.5 (including subparagraphs) for all supported database systems.
Plan, analyze, design, develop, install, troubleshoot, manage and administer databases to ensure overall system performance, quality, integrity and security.
Perform database and application security patching, upgrades and enhancements.
Install and integrate new and/or customize existing applications; create custom views, queries, reports and templates.
Develop and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for database/data dictionaries.
Administer and control database access permissions and privileges.
Develop, test, execute and manage back-up and recovery plans.
Perform database configuration, change and capacity management activities.
Coordinate with other technical staff and operational users to ensure database integrity and security.
Develop and submit a Database Administration Monthly Status Report (Deliverable: Monthly Technical Status Report); and other ad hoc reports as required.

Qualifications

DoDM 8140 IAT Level 2 (Security+) or higher
Microsoft Certified Solution Expert (MCSE) Data Management and Analytics or equivalent certification (preferred); or Microsoft Certified Solution Associate (MCSA) SQL or Oracle
Certified Associate (OCA) Database, or equivalent certification
Active/current Secret clearance
