The Government Relationship Manager will act as the primary point of contact between the organization and government entities in Saudi Arabia. The role is responsible for ensuring compliance with government regulations, facilitating smooth communication, and advocating for the company's interests in dealings with public authorities. The individual will work closely with local authorities, government departments, and regulatory bodies to ensure alignment with government policies and objectives. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Government Relations Management
    1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key government officials, regulators, and relevant public institutions.
    2. Act as a liaison between the company and government agencies, representing the organization’s interests in meetings, discussions, and negotiations.
    3. Ensure timely communication of all regulatory requirements, changes in laws, and public policies impacting the business.
  2. Policy Advocacy and Compliance
    1. Monitor and analyze government policies, regulations, and initiatives to anticipate any potential impacts on the business.
    2. Ensure the company's activities comply with local laws, including labor, environmental, and business regulations.
    3. Provide strategic advice to senior leadership on policy trends and public affairs strategies.
  3. Public Affairs and Strategy Development
    1. Develop and execute a strategic government relations plan to enhance the company’s presence and influence within government circles.
    2. Coordinate with government entities on corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives and any other partnerships.
    3. Represent the organization in public meetings, conferences, and forums involving government stakeholders.
  4. Negotiation and Documentation
    1. Lead negotiations with government agencies on regulatory matters, permits, licenses, and other agreements.
    2. Assist in drafting, reviewing, and finalizing agreements between the company and government bodies.
    3. Identify and manage potential risks related to government policies and regulatory changes.
    4. Proactively address any emerging issues with government relations to avoid potential disruptions.
  5. Reporting and Coordination
    1. Prepare regular reports and updates for senior management on government-related issues and the status of ongoing projects.
    2. Coordinate internal teams to ensure alignment on key government-related projects and initiatives.
Qualifications:
  1. Education : Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Business Administration, Law, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  2. Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in government relations, public affairs, or a similar role. Prior experience working with government agencies in Saudi Arabia is preferred.
  3. Skills :
    1. Strong understanding of the Saudi Arabian regulatory and political environment.
    2. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    3. Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels within government and regulatory bodies.
    4. Proficiency in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
    5. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
