To learn more about our purpose, culture and priorities, visit our strategy site. The project: This is an opportunity to work on a large hospitality project in one of the Emirates of the UAE. Your responsibilities will include:

Management of all external infrastructure works to the beach district.
Management of all swimming pools and specialist water features.
Integration of all MEP into the soft and hard landscaping.

Accountable for the delivery of MEP services on projects to the agreed outcomes for time, budget, safety and quality requirements. Ensures high-quality, time-efficient and profitable delivery whilst providing leadership and accountability for compliance, governance, assurance and management of teams of technical and construction. Builds and retains key working relationships with colleagues and internal and external stakeholders. You'll be responsible for:

Managing the MEP team on the project, demonstrating professional and respectful behaviours, providing clear direction, guidance and encouraging compliance with Mace standards.
Accountable for successful delivery of MEP services, including management of the programme, health safety and wellbeing, quality and commissioning of the project.
Liaising and coordinating with key project stakeholders, forming strong working relationships with clients, consultants, trade contractors and other team leaders.
Supervising the tendering process and providing technical and commercial support to bid teams and sector leadership/bid leads.
Establishing procurement strategies and ensuring specialist packages and appointments are procured against the agreed scope demarcation and to budget.
Undertaking initial review of contracts and scope, assisting in preparation of budgets, value engineering, schedules and trade contracts.
Creating and deploying project strategic plans in conjunction with the Mace operating framework and strategic priorities.
Overseeing design reviews on information provided by consultants and trade specialists, checking for compliance, coordination and completeness.
Preparing and coordinating delivery strategies and programmes for all phases of the project.
Supporting and implementing commissioning strategies in line with Mace commissioning standards.
Undertaking productivity assessments using digital technologies.
Managing project closeout to ensure all elements of completion are delivered to a high standard.
Proactively identifying risk and producing mitigation plans.
Managing and providing leadership to a team of managers and professionals.
Providing performance management, technical development and coaching.
Working collaboratively towards a net zero carbon transition.

You'll need to have:

A relevant degree qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering.
Experience in soft and hard landscaping.
Experience working in the United Arab Emirates.
Proven track record in delivering large MEP projects.
Professional membership, i.e. CIBSE, IET, IMechE, SoPHE.
Advanced knowledge of engineering systems, installation techniques, best practices.
Proficient knowledge of construction build elements.
Proficient knowledge of planning processes and management.
Advanced knowledge of commercial management.
Advanced knowledge of health, safety and welfare core elements.
Advanced knowledge of quality assurance processes and management.

You'll also have:

Extensive experience in the successful delivery phase of projects in the project management sector.
Deep construction and consultancy expertise.
Knowledge of building safety legislation and construction contracts.
Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
Experience managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
Knowledge of sustainability considerations.
