The Data Protection Officer (DPO) will be responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing management of the Data strategy for a leading FinTech company in Saudi Arabia. The role requires a deep understanding of global data Privacy laws, particularly those applicable within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the ability to ensure that all company processes, products, and services comply with these regulations. The DPO will work closely with senior management, legal, compliance, and IT teams to safeguard customer data and maintain the company's reputation as a trusted financial technology provider. Primary Duties and Key Responsibilities:

Develop and lead the company's Data strategy to ensure alignment with business objectives and compliance with local and international privacy regulations.
Establish privacy goals, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of privacy initiatives.
Ensure the company's operations, products, and services comply with relevant privacy laws, including the SAMA, PDPL, SDAIA regulations, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and other applicable global standards.
Monitor legislative and regulatory developments in privacy and data protection, advising the executive team on potential impacts and necessary adjustments.
Oversee the company's data governance framework, ensuring that data collection, storage, and usage practices meet legal requirements.
Collaborate with IT and Cybersecurity teams to implement data protection measures, including encryption, access controls, and data minimization.
Identify and assess privacy risks associated with new projects, products, and partnerships.
Develop and maintain a robust incident response plan for data breaches, including notification procedures and mitigation strategies.
Lead the development and delivery of privacy training programs for employees, ensuring a company-wide understanding of privacy obligations and best practices.
Promote a culture of privacy by design and default across the organization.
Act as the primary point of contact for privacy-related inquiries from customers, regulators, and business partners.
Work closely with legal, compliance, marketing, and product teams to integrate privacy considerations into business processes.
Conduct regular privacy audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of privacy controls.
Report on privacy program performance to the executive team and the board of directors through the CISO, highlighting key risks and compliance status.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in law, Information Security, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in privacy, data protection, or related fields, with at least 2-3 years in a role within the financial services or technology sectors.
Proven experience in managing privacy programs within a highly regulated environment, preferably within the FinTech industry.
Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) or equivalent privacy certifications are highly desirable.
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or related certifications would be an advantage.
In-depth knowledge of privacy laws and regulations applicable in Saudi Arabia, as well as global standards such as GDPR.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess complex privacy issues and risks.
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
