Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
Perform preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment used in oil and gas operations, including pumps, compressors, turbines, heat exchangers, valves, and pressure vessels.
Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and techniques, providing timely resolutions to minimize downtime and operational disruptions.
Repair and maintain mechanical systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems, bearings, seals, and rotating equipment.
Safety & Compliance:
Ensure all mechanical operations are carried out in compliance with industry safety standards and regulations, including oil and gas-specific safety protocols (e.g., HAZOP, PTW).
Follow and enforce best practices for health, safety, and environmental management.
Conduct regular safety checks and inspections of equipment and machinery to identify potential hazards.
Installation & Commissioning:
Lead and assist with the installation, commissioning, and testing of new mechanical equipment on oil and gas sites.
Oversee the mechanical aspects of facility modifications and upgrades to ensure all systems are operating optimally.
Leadership & Mentorship:
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior mechanical technicians and other team members.
Assist in training programs to improve the team’s skill set, with a focus on safety, troubleshooting, and best maintenance practices.
Provide leadership in coordinating maintenance activities and ensuring that work is completed on time and to required standards.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of all mechanical work, including maintenance logs, parts inventory, and equipment performance data.
Report any significant mechanical failures or system deficiencies to the engineering team for further analysis and improvement.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify areas for improvement in mechanical systems and processes, proposing solutions to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to implement process improvements and new technologies.
