Our portfolio includes mobile game development and publishing, virtual reality experiences, iGaming, esports management, and content platform services. Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with MySQL, Azure database services, and managing large-scale B2C infrastructures. This is a key role that requires strong technical expertise, proactive problem-solving, and a collaborative mindset to support and optimize our mission-critical databases. Key Responsibilities: Database Management

  1. Design, implement, and maintain MySQL databases for high-availability, performance, and scalability.
  2. Monitor and manage database performance, ensuring optimal efficiency and uptime.
  3. Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including backup, recovery, and data integrity checks.
  4. Leverage Azure database services for migration, optimization, and scalability.
  5. Manage Azure cloud infrastructure to ensure seamless database performance and availability.
  6. Implement and monitor cloud-based disaster recovery solutions.
Performance Optimization
  1. Analyze and optimize query performance, schema design, and indexing strategies.
  2. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in real-time.
  3. Collaborate with development teams to improve database architecture and application queries.
Support & Troubleshooting
  1. Provide 24/7 support for critical database issues as part of an on-call rotation.
  2. Troubleshoot complex database-related problems and implement effective solutions.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and product managers.
Security & Compliance
  1. Ensure databases meet security, compliance, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS).
  2. Implement robust database security measures to protect sensitive customer data.
  3. Stay updated on emerging database technologies and best practices.
Documentation & Reporting
  1. Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, processes, and performance metrics.
  2. Create and deliver reports on database health, usage trends, and optimization efforts.
Qualifications: Education
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Required Skills
  1. 8+ years of experience as a DBA with a focus on MySQL.
  2. Expertise in Azure database services, including Azure SQL, Managed Instances, and Data Factory.
  3. Proven experience supporting large-scale B2C infrastructure with high transaction volumes.
  4. Strong understanding of database architecture, design, and optimization techniques.
  5. Experience with database backup/recovery, replication, and clustering solutions.
  6. Solid understanding of cloud-based infrastructures and hybrid environments.
  7. Proficiency in database security, encryption, and access controls.
Preferred Skills
  1. Experience with other database technologies such as PostgreSQL.
  2. Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (e.g., GitLab, Terraform).
  3. Familiarity with data analytics tools and frameworks (e.g., Databricks and Power BI).
Skills and Competencies
  1. In-depth knowledge of cloud infrastructure technologies (e.g., Windows/Linux servers, virtualization, cloud platforms, and networking).
  2. Expertise in IT service management (ITSM) frameworks like ITIL.
  3. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  4. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to manage teams and stakeholders effectively.
  5. Project management skills and familiarity with methodologies like Agile or Waterfall.

  1. Uptime percentage for critical systems and infrastructure.
  2. Mean Time to Resolution (MTTR) for incidents.
  3. Budget adherence and cost-saving initiatives.
  4. Team productivity and employee satisfaction scores.
  5. Compliance with security and regulatory standards.
