Job description The Promotion Director-Producer reports directly to the Executive Assignment Editor. This role involves producing and editing on-air promotions, show topicals, interstitials, and brand awareness campaigns for TV Programs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Create promotion campaigns that attract audiences and enhance the viewing experience of the Channel from concept through to post-production, including pitching ideas, writing, editing, and directing.
Quality check edited material prior to broadcast, ensuring that all work meets high technical standards.
Direct voice-over and audio mixes.
Coach and mentor junior team members, supporting them in their skillsets to create outstanding promotions.
Work in alignment with the Marketing, Programming, and Digital teams.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of five years working as a Promo Producer within the On-Air Department of a National or International television brand.
Scriptwriting for promos and the ability to mentor junior producers in scripting skills.
Experience with self-editing on Avid, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and knowledge of appropriate editing production processes.
A track record of promo production within the On-Air promo production industry.
Ability to work as part of a Creative Team, contributing to the development of concepts and enhancing overall creative output.

NON-ESSENTIAL SKILLS

Experience in self-operating and directing small shoots using Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens Cameras and lights for various promotional and sponsorship needs.
VFX skills.

REQUIRED CONDITIONS

Eligibility to live and work in Doha, Qatar.
English; Arabic is a plus.
A showreel is a must.
