Job Title : Senior Manager - Utility & WTP Type: Full-time Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE Summary The Senior Manager ensures optimal performance, safety, and reliability of utility and water treatment facilities at Emirates Steel. This includes defining maintenance strategies, managing daily operations, and leading a team to achieve high operational efficiency through proactive and preventive maintenance. The role also emphasizes cost optimization, continuous improvement, and compliance. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement annual plans, policies, and procedures for utility and water treatment operations.
  • Provide expert advice to optimize production capability.
  • Lead the team to achieve operational goals through performance management, development, and motivation.
  • Prepare and manage annual budgets to ensure accurate business planning and cost efficiency.
  • Oversee operations and maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure efficiency.
  • Coordinate with external suppliers and agencies to meet departmental objectives.
  • Implement predictive maintenance programs to enhance reliability and minimize shutdowns.
  • Track key maintenance parameters and coordinate with third-party service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Promote a culture of safety and responsibility.
  • Recommend capital expenditure plans to meet strategic objectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; MBA/EMBA preferred.
  • 10–12 years in utility plant operations and maintenance, including 5 years in a management role.
  • Utility and water treatment operations in heavy industries.
  • Steelmaking processes and equipment maintenance.
  • Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), preferably SAP.
  • Budgeting and cost management.
Key Performance Indicators
  • Safety and compliance metrics.
  • Maintenance cost reductions.
  • Audit closures and regulatory adherence.
  • Workforce optimization and skill development.
  • Achievement of Emiratization targets and continuous improvement goals.
