Associate Vice President, Integrated Medical Economics

Develop and implement departmental strategies aligned with Daman's overall objectives, setting operational goals to enhance department performance. Accountable for results-oriented management, considering cross-departmental performance outcomes. Manage and develop personnel, fostering a team-oriented environment and collaborative leadership presence within the team. Oversee departmental expenditures, ensuring alignment with financial budgets. Cultivate an organizational culture focused on quality awareness and service orientation while ensuring adherence to processes like Project and Change Management. Influence the development and implementation of policies and procedures. Department Specific: Analyse medical cost utilization and unit cost data, identifying top trend drivers and affordability opportunities, developing strategies across cross-functional teams such as Clinical, Network, Authorization, and Claims, supporting the execution of those strategies, and evaluating program and initiative outcomes. Consult with management on strategies to manage the cost of health insurance. Manage and lead medical, pharmacy cost & revenue optimization initiatives. Advise on the conceptualisation, research and creation of new population health programmes matching the need of the community in line with Daman strategy and goals. Drive high-visibility impactful analysis to control medical cost inflation. Ensure the preparation and delivery of medical management information and dashboards as per internal requests related to medical cost containment. Quantify financial impact of cost control initiatives and ensure adequate management/support of delivery. Advise and monitor new strategic medical initiatives in business development, i.e., provide medical information for decision making process, (co-)design strategy/concept and manage implementation. Lead presentations, negotiations and meetings with commercial key clients and regulatory authorities to build and maintain Daman business. Key Requirements and Qualifications Minimum 7 years of experience in management-level roles with relevant experience in healthcare economics or related fields. Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, economics, or a related field required; an advanced degree is preferred. Skills and Competencies Strong understanding of tools and strategies that leverage business opportunities within healthcare economics. Proficient in data management, analysis, reporting standards, and healthcare processes. Experience in value-based reimbursement models and population health management is essential. Excellent leadership skills encompassing people management and development capabilities. Ability to act as a player/coach and roll up sleeves to drive initiatives. Strong analytical, planning, forecasting, execution, and problem-solving skills. Organizational development, with effective structure which includes clear roles and accountabilities. Identifies, selects, develops and engages talent. Transparent communication, constantly sharing business strategy to leaders and employees. #J-18808-Ljbffr
