Barista/Cashier

Job Responsibilities

1. Customer Service : Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and answering any questions they may have about the menu or products.
2. Cash Handling : Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately and efficiently. This includes processing payments, issuing receipts, and giving change.
3. Order Preparation : Prepare and serve beverages according to company standards and customer preferences. This may include making espresso-based drinks, brewing coffee, blending smoothies, and preparing tea.
4. Menu Knowledge : Have a thorough understanding of the menu items, including ingredients, pricing, and any specials or promotions. Be able to make recommendations to customers based on their preferences.
5. Maintaining Cleanliness : Keep the work area clean and organized at all times. This includes wiping down counters, cleaning equipment, and restocking supplies as needed.
6. Food Handling : If the establishment serves food items, you may be responsible for preparing simple food items such as sandwiches, pastries, or salads.
7. Upselling : Encourage customers to try additional items or upgrades to their order. This can help increase sales and enhance the customer experience.
8. Multi-tasking : Be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, such as taking orders while preparing drinks and handling cash transactions.
9. Teamwork : Work effectively as part of a team to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. This may involve assisting coworkers with tasks and communicating effectively with other staff members.
10. Adherence to Health and Safety Regulations : Follow proper food safety and hygiene practices to ensure the health and safety of customers and coworkers. This includes maintaining cleanliness standards, proper food handling techniques, and compliance with health regulations.
