Premium Solutions Consultancy Doha, Qatar Required on urgent basis for a big group in the construction & engineering sector to hire a local MEP Engineer with the following responsibilities:
Main Job Description:
- Support the General Manager in contract administration and decision making to ensure smooth progress and successful completion of various projects, considering project schedule, budgeted cost, project specifications, and requirements.
- Responsible for the overall planning, design review, engineering, coordination, procurement, and execution of the complete scope of works covered under the respective discipline.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the projects.
- Visit the project site weekly and report to management regarding project progress.
- Develop customized plans for clients to enhance energy-saving opportunities.
- Provide efficient maintenance support services to clients.
- Design and supervise maintenance services including regular inspections, weekly progress meetings, and planned preventive maintenance programs.
- Coordinate with local authorities to ensure timely approval of drawings and service connections.
- Identify training needs of team members and arrange suitable training for skill enhancement.
- Represent the company in all dealings with customers, project managers, consultants, and contractors to ensure contract compliance.
- Handle communication with clients and consultants.
- Identify, evaluate, and periodically assess vendors and subcontractors.
- Ensure timely mobilization of manpower.
- Administer and manage all project-related staff.
- Control labor management, approve labor leave, and submit requests to the General Manager for final approval.
- Ensure provision of manpower and material resources.
- Deploy qualified and trained manpower in a timely manner.
- Conduct staff and management meetings for efficient project execution.
- Attend Management Review Meetings of the Quality & HSE Management System.
- Ensure compliance with IMS Procedures.
- Authorized to stop work if any major/minor deviations in quality or HSE violations occur.
- Establish quality objectives and implement quality plans/procedures.
- Implement Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental Policy.
Requirements:
- Age: 35 to 48
- Preferable Nationality: Arabic
- Language: English is a must; Arabic is an added advantage.
- Experience: 10 years in GCC, preferably in Qatar in a managerial role in an MEP company, with knowledge of MEP operations and industry standards.
- Proven track record in executing and managing large MEP projects.
- UPDA, QCDD, PMP certifications preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Benefits:
- Salary: Full package between QR 30,000 to 35,000 depending on experience.
