Workshop Technician

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. To carry out repair, test, service all Units of shop Equipment as per company approved capability list and manufacturer's procedures while observing all safety procedures.
2. To carry out any component changes as necessary for troubleshooting, as directed by immediate supervisor or certifying staff, including obtaining and understanding Component Maintenance Manual (CMM), Illustrated Parts List (IPL), or other vendor documentation.
3. To determine that any tooling used is serviceable and appropriate for the task and to understand and use specialized tooling where required.
4. Participate and promote in creating a safety culture to minimize accidents and communicate safety shortfalls.
5. To avoid FOD, ensuring work areas, lockers, test benches, and toolboxes are kept clean.
6. Creation of shop finding report, create part requisition / Bill of material through M3.
7. To control and maintain proper records of all inspections/repair documents/testing of every component worked on.
8. Ensure to carry out all applicable documents for the repaired unit (SB, SIL, AD and/or RD) to ensure flight safety and fill all applicable work packages correctly.
9. Review and maintain the assigned storage unit content list on a daily basis and control the THP sheet as per company policy.
10. Report any discrepancies or occurrences as per company procedures and regulatory instructions.
11. Maintain quality standards and attendance.

Job Requirements

1. Familiarization with EASA/GCAA/FAA part 145 certification requirements, rules, and regulations.
2. Knowledge of safety risks linked to the working environment.
3. Knowledge of human factors, human performance, and limitations.
4. Ability to report discrepancies.
5. Ability to use, control, and be familiar with required tooling and/or equipment.
6. Knowledge of the following Aircraft C ratings: C18, C17, C6, C5, C1, and C6.
7. Technical skills including computers (MS Office, Excel, Windows) and usage of measurement test equipment.
