As we continue our journey of growth and innovation, we are seeking an experienced Pattern Maker & Master Cutter to join our creative team and contribute to the crafting of our exceptional collections. Role Overview: The Pattern Maker & Master Cutter is crucial in transforming design concepts into reality. Combining technical expertise with creative insight, you will collaborate with our designers to develop patterns and create fabric cuts that align with our brand's vision for quality, fit, and elegance. Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the design team to interpret and translate sketches into accurate and functional patterns.
- Create precise manual patterns for various styles, ensuring proper fit and functionality (digital pattern-making is a plus).
- Execute draping techniques directly on mannequins to achieve unique, tailored designs.
- Grade patterns across standard sizes to ensure consistency.
- Cut fabrics precisely for custom orders based on client requirements, minimizing wastage.
- Oversee the development of prototypes and samples to ensure they meet design and quality standards.
- Conduct fittings and adjust patterns to refine fit and silhouette to perfection.
- Stay updated with the latest trends, techniques, and innovations in pattern-making and garment construction.
- Maintain an organized workspace and meticulously document all patterns, prototypes, and samples.
- Proven experience as a Pattern Maker and Master Cutter, ideally in luxury or high-end fashion.
- Strong expertise in manual pattern-making and grading across standard sizes.
- Experience in draping directly on mannequins.
- Ability to cut custom orders based on unique client inquiries.
- In-depth knowledge of fabrics, textiles, and advanced garment construction techniques.
- Exceptional attention to detail, precision, and craftsmanship.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address fit and construction challenges.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with designers and production teams.
- Passion for high-quality tailoring and craftsmanship.
