Job Description:PEDIATRIC PHYSIOTHERAPIST uses various therapeutic approaches to provide direct patient care, perform patient assessments and reassessments, set patient goals, and create a care plan for physiotherapy services, either with or without the use of assistive medical devices and/or equipment.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for the management of inpatients with respiratory conditions requiring physiotherapy aged 0-18 years.Accountable for the respiratory care of patients with tracheostomies, long-term ventilation, non-CF bronchiectasis, PCD, neuromuscular disorders (including SMA), and other respiratory illnesses.Manage an outpatient caseload.Assist patients, caregivers, physiotherapy colleagues, and other medical experts by offering advice and serving as a liaison.Collaborate closely with the pediatric physiotherapy team, respiratory therapists in the PICU, and the pediatric physician.As needed, offer cross-coverage to the NICU, PICU, and wards, including late shifts, weekend work, and call duty.Supervise junior physiotherapists and staff nurses.Exhibit complete compliance with the correct channels of communication and the chain of command when reporting incidents, complaints, and/or other relevant concerns connected to patients.Ensure that any medical equipment in need of repair is reported to the biomedical engineer and that the necessary follow-up repairs are handled and finished.Maintain compliance with safety regulations pertaining to physiotherapy medical equipment and perform functional and calibration checks.Participate in unit projects, department staff meetings, and the implementation and assessment of innovative goal-achieving strategies.Serve as a clinical resource for the patient, their family, caregivers, and other medical personnel, including junior physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, speech pathologists, and others.Maintain the availability of physiotherapy medical equipment for patient utilization, perform daily and monthly inventory, and ensure that equipment is stored in designated areas.Report all supply replacements, expiry, and losses to the Materials Management Department.QUALIFICATIONS:Physiotherapy bachelor's degree or physical therapy bachelor's degree in science.Current practice license from the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), United Arab Emirates, or the country of origin or point of hire.PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience following pediatric physical therapy certification.Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.Note: Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.Job Details:Job Location: Dubai, United Arab EmiratesCompany Industry: Other Business Support ServicesCompany Type: UnspecifiedEmployment Type: UnspecifiedMonthly Salary Range: UnspecifiedNumber of Vacancies: Unspecified
