Job Description

The Team Leader and Professional Sound Sales Manager of our brands Electro-Voice and Dynacord grows together with the local Middle East sales team business above market, focusing on Install accounts and the Install market in the MEA region, developing sales strategies and ensuring implementation. With a strong focus on market trends and core verticals, the manager creates demand and increases sales. Creating project leads through smart business development in coordination with local key customers and early involvement with large end-users and major influencer groups is the engine for repeating success. An agile and lean project management, quotation- and essential technical support for regional customers in combination with a strong hunting mindset completes the profile.
  • Sales management in Install market segment
  • Actively manage customer structure in the region (customer pyramid)
  • Ensure sales targets by increasing share of wallet with existing customers and in existing business, identifying additional business opportunities (e.g. cross-selling) or developing potential new ones in the region
  • Conduct regular customer visits and establish close relationships with customers in the region
  • Take over local business development activities in the region to support the local customer base
  • Work closely with the technical support team, marketing, and product management to ensure that local projects are covered properly in all stages
  • Provide feedback on market trends, customer/end-user needs and support the collection of competitor information (portfolio as well as industries)
  • Insert customer related data such as account information, activities, opportunities regularly into CRM and make use of available CRM data and reports to follow-up
  • Timely inform supply chain on extraordinary demand (e.g. special sales initiatives, big projects) which is not covered by regular forecast
  • Support cross-border opportunities
  • Cooperate with local field sales engineer team and assist customers in technical concepts, system designs for dedicated product solutions and projects
  • Proactively drive projects in the sales phase within the customer journey
  • Participate in trade shows and share information on products and services

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of sales experience with a focus on Install market segment
  • At least 5 years of experience in leadership
  • Team player with a strong hunting mindset and motivation
  • Strong understanding of the Professional A/V and Installed Sound applications and corresponding verticals
  • Understanding of Installed Sound solutions including acoustics, electronics, DSP, digital audio networking and room control including serial and IP communications
  • Ability to read and interpret project floor plans and system flow line drawings
  • Strong ability to develop distributor, reseller, integrator, and consultant relationships through interpersonal communications
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal in fluent English
  • Additional regional MEA languages like Arabic, etc. is an advantage
  • Negotiation and presentation skills
  • Analytical competency and PC skills
  • Ability to plan, organize and follow through/implement activities to achieve timely, accurate results, focusing on key priorities and effectively juggling multiple projects
  • Up to 75% travel (majorly regional) required
  • Existing channel and consultant relationships are valued
