What You'll Be Doing Our eCommerce Executive will play a critical role in driving sales and conversion by delivering a best-in-class customer experience on the website. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including product setup and promotions management (omnichannel and online exclusive), developing and executing visual merchandising strategies to engage customers and drive revenue, analyzing online purchasing data, conducting competitor analysis, and generating periodic reports to update the commercial team and Captain on performance. Key Responsibilities: Planning:
- Develop merchandising strategies and operational plans based on customer insights, brand strategy, eCommerce goals, and initiatives to achieve significant uplifts in revenue, site conversion, and average order value.
- Enhance user experience and improve product discovery and content on the website.
- Own the merchandising calendar by coordinating with marketing, content, social, and email teams, seeking constant optimization.
- Negotiate with relevant back-office and local teams on commercial strategies (buying, promotional, and trading).
- Define and implement the trading strategy for assigned categories, in collaboration with the eCommerce Manager.
- Manage the day-to-day trading of assigned categories, including maintaining category landing pages and other relevant site areas.
- Liaise with the retail team and eCommerce Manager to define, agree, and execute sales and promotional plans.
- Oversee the product lifecycle, including new product launches, Last Chance products, and basic products.
- Manage online inventory and collections, including content in English and Arabic, coordinating with the content translation team.
- Collaborate with the Visual Merchandising team to develop key merchandising stories that align with the consumer experience.
- Monitor and optimize site search and navigation to enhance the customer journey while considering commercial impacts.
- Use tools and dashboards to understand customer behavior and recommend improvements to the user experience.
- Leverage sales and customer analytics to optimize online product display strategies, including:
- Product assortment based on best sellers, new launches, and unsung heroes.
- Filters and main menu navigation updates.
- Homepage banners and content updates for promotions, newness, product recommendations, and best sellers.
- Optimizing product pages with enhanced imagery, reviews, cross-sells/upsells, and special offer banners.
- Guide the content team on priority pushes/categories/products.
- Conduct full-site quality checks and coordinate with the product team for ticket creation and resolution.
- Monitor stock levels to prevent out-of-stock issues, especially during peak seasons.
- Collaborate with the merchandising and purchasing teams to recommend stock replenishment strategies.
- Establish and maintain metrics, providing frequent feedback and insights to enhance quality and productivity.
- Utilize tools such as Looker and Google Analytics to generate and analyze reports.
- Deliver daily/weekly/monthly performance reports (e.g., best sellers by week, month, country, categories) to the eCommerce Manager and Captain, including actionable insights.
- Provide competitive and strategic insights to optimize products, programs, and services.
- Generate forecasts and topline definitions.
- Work closely with Customer Service to identify pain points and prioritize actions.
- Act as a primary support for the eCommerce Manager, stepping in as a backup when necessary.
- Assist with stakeholder management, presentation development, conflict resolution, and other managerial tasks as required.
- Education: A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Technical Skills: Shopify expertise is a must. Experience with BI tools such as Looker and Google Analytics is advantageous.
