Audit Engagement Responsibilities

  1. Define the objective and scope of the audit engagement.
  2. Identify critical risks and controls within the business and operational processes under review.
  3. Develop comprehensive, risk-based audit programs.
  4. Supervise the audit team and oversee assistant auditors.
  5. Discuss concerns and issues with the audit client, draft field memorandums, and keep both the client and Internal Auditing Management informed about audit progress.
  6. Conduct risk-based audit procedures in accordance with company policies and international standards.
  7. Prepare audit reports.
  8. Conduct presentations to client management during audit opening and closing meetings.
  9. Offer on-the-job training and mentorship to less experienced staff.
  10. Evaluate the performance and capabilities of assisting staff auditors.
  11. Provide assurance and consulting activities on internal controls as required.
