Senior Design Draftsman (SP3D/SPPID) is a lead discipline position responsible for all modelling/drafting tasks in 2D and 3D associated with the relevant disciplines (i.e., Process/Piping/Mechanical, Civil/Structural, Instrumentation/Electrical, etc.). Thorough knowledge of design drafting codes and practices specific to the particular discipline is essential. Knowledge of SPE (SP3D/SPPID) application skills is a prerequisite, as the Company is migrating to SmartPlant Application for detail design and maintaining As-Built for all its facilities. Responsibilities include producing conceptual drawings, construction drawings, and associated engineering documents, as well as conducting the drawing checking and verification function. The role also involves performing man-hour estimation, scheduling, reporting, and manpower deployment for activities under each discipline group.Collects, correlates, and studies the available information required for the project from existing drawings, documents, and 3D models.Conducts field investigations, takes measurements, prepares detailed sketches and written notes in preparation for producing the required detailed design drawings.Develops design parameters with discipline engineers to reflect project requirements, resolve problems, and provide alternate options.Produces detailed design elements using information from various sources, including 3D models, site studies, vendor drawings, catalogue data, engineering sketches, reference drawings, and input from other disciplines.Prepares clear, accurate, and complete engineering design/construction and 'As Built' drawings using practical knowledge, requiring thorough working knowledge and application of relevant discipline codes, standards, and installation practices for the Oil/Gas industry.Checks all drawings and documents produced in the relevant disciplines for each project at different stages of their issue to ensure compliance with ZADCO DOP and ascertain correct detailed design/drafting work.In SPPID, conducts P&ID drafting and attribute population, performs consistency checks, and reports extraction (Line list, Equipment list, etc.).In SP3D, maintains an error-free 3D Model, incorporating modifications made to the facilities, and conducts drawing extraction (GAD's/Isometrics, etc.).Interacts with Application Engineer (Tools) for maintaining As-Built data on the tools side.Provides technical guidance to Design Draftsmen, where required.Coordinates design information with other drawing office disciplines in developing complete drawing packages.Performs project-related tasks such as assisting in preparing the scope of works, preparing deliverables list, estimating man-hours, scheduling, and reporting related to project drafting requirements.Conducts quality checks on all project drawings from vendors and contractors, including final deliverables for compliance with Company drafting practices.Ensures that a set of Master drawings and 3D Model prepared as part of the Critical Drawings Update project and other projects are continuously updated to reflect the 'As Built' status, incorporating changes due to the implementation of new projects.Participates in the development of Drawing Office work procedures and attends project meetings as required.Follows up on project copies issued and ensures proper housekeeping of drawings in EDMS/SPF.Responsible for managing all drafting data and uploading them to EDMS/SPF.Reviews/comments on Tag/Drawing Number requests from all clients within and outside the Company.Contributes to the selection of Design Drafting software and customizing them to suit Company requirements.Evaluates contractor proposals and assists in trade testing in the recruitment of new Design Draughtsmen.Skill seta) High diploma in Engineering Technology and ten years related experience in EPC works in Oil and Gas or related Process Industries.b) In-depth working knowledge of discipline drafting specific skills, codes, and standard practices.c) Minimum 4 - 5 years of hands-on experience in SP3D / SPPID.d) High level of drafting skills using AutoCAD, GTX Raster, and additional add-on applications.e) Excellent computer skills, including practical knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and other related applications.f) Leadership skills with written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills.g) Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.h) Good command of the English language.
