Job Overview The Plant Engineer is responsible for the maintenance and repair of EPG rental units in the fleet and adhering to company standard safety procedures, in order to achieve objectives whilst maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction. Bears overall responsibility for fleet management/operations. Job Responsibilities: Customer

• Ensure all customer concerns/problems are addressed and resolved amicably and promptly.

• Contribute to the achievement of Power System Rental Dept. objectives and targets.

• Ensure cleanliness of the rental units in the field.
• Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained and utilized effectively.
• Ensure that tools and equipment are adequate & well maintained for field staff.

• Maintain daily accounting for all the units in the field (on rent with customers) / yard.
• Plan/schedule the maintenance of rental fleet and ensure rental units are immediately repaired and ready for delivery.
• Check field service reports/oil SOS reports and ensure rental units are properly maintained at site and are immediately repaired in case of breakdowns.
• Analyze manpower requirements for the various jobs and assign the right number of technician/operators to the various jobs.
• Coordinate with Rental Sales Engineer/Supervisor to understand the customers' requirements and arrange for the appropriate units.
• Coordinate with the Service Dept. and Power Systems Dept. for customization work.
• Ensure parts are ordered and are available for the maintenance/repair of rental units.
• Coordinate with the Sales Engineer/Customers on installation, commissioning, and emergency replacements.
• Review and maintain the history of each rental fleet unit.
• Monitor the units with high running hours and make recommendations for replacement/retirement of these units.
• Ensure cleanliness and safe practices for all work done at the yard.
• Monitor the off-hire of units in coordination with Rental Sales and arrange for the disconnection of these units.
• Coordinate with customers/field staff on timely shut down of unit for maintenance/repair works.

• Communicate well with peers and other team members of the department as well as with other employees of the branch.
• Work closely with peers and develop strong synergy with service employees.

• Promote and conduct business professionally in order to protect the integrity of the Caterpillar brand and Al-Bahar image.
• Ensure all departmental activities are carried out in accordance with the relevant standing instructions and other company policies.

• Promote safety awareness and ensure compliance with HSE policy to maintain a hazard and incident-free environment.
• Promote awareness of the significant environmental aspects and related actual or potential environmental impacts associated with the work.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
• 7-10 years relevant experience.
• Experience in Genset operations, maintenance, repairs.
• Having supervisory skills for Genset fleet and manpower management.
